According to flight tracking site Flightradar24, the private jet experienced altitude changes shortly after takeoff.

Altitude Changes Detected

Using signals from the ADS-B satellite positioning system and the MLAT navigation tracking system, Flightradar24 detected altitude changes in the private jet after takeoff. The initial data showed that the plane climbed to a cruising altitude of 28,000 feet before rising to 30,100 feet and then descending to 27,500 feet.

After climbing again to 29,300 feet and maintaining a stable altitude for a while, the private jet descended to 19,725 feet 34 minutes after the initial data was received.

Speculations About the Cause of the Crash

The data on the plane’s location was cut off after this point, but information on its altitude, speed, vertical speed, and autopilot settings was still available. Flightradar24 also published a graph showing the last 32 seconds of altitude data received from the plane.

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) confirmed that 10 people, including Wagner founder Yevgeniy Prigojin, were killed in the crash. Some Telegram channels known for their proximity to Wagner have claimed that the plane was shot down by Russian military defense systems.

This tragic event has raised many questions and speculations about its cause. Further investigations are underway to determine what exactly happened to the private jet that crashed in Tver.
